What is it about?
TikTok, which is quickly becoming one of the world's most popular apps, can be a place for singing and dancing. However, some people also use it to develop their religious identities. Young people in particular have used TikTok to explore what they think it means to be a good Christian and to find other Christians with similar identities. The #ChristianCheck trend allowed young Christians to show off their religious texts, jewelry, and art. Through this trend, they created an online community of Christian TikTokers who shared certain values and aesthetics.
