What is it about?
Molar and premolar edentulous areas were selected for implanto-prosthetic rehabilitation. At 4 to 8 weeks after dental extractions, 135 implants were placed and submerged. Crestal bone level around dental implants was radiologically assessed at baseline, at prosthetic loading, at 1, 3, 5 years

Why is it important?
At 1 year postoperative, mean bone loss was -1,5 mm. At 3 years, mean bone gain was +1,2 mm. Afterwards, bone levels stayed stable over time, without further dimensional changes
