What is it about?
This is a series of cases of fresh and large bleeding under the retina, something that can lead to blindness, treated with a new anti-VEGF drug named Brolucizumab and SF6 gas. We did not use RTPA which is expensive and often not available at small, private practice! We also didn't do any surgeries. All our cases recovered well both in terms of vision and clearance of the blood.

Why is it important?
Bleeding under the retina can lead to blindness. It is not uncommon. More so in Asiatic population where we commonly get PCVs. A non surgical approach based on Brolucizumab injection and SF6 gas can be easily replicated in the real world. This is the first report of such an approach. Also we achieved these outcomes without using a loading dose of the ANTI-VEGF!
