Why is it important?
Mobile teledermoscopy is a novel and advancing technology which allows users to take and send dermoscopic images of skin lesions through a mobile health app. In this study, researchers from the University of Queensland explored consumer preferences for skin cancer screening in people who had recently used mobile teledermoscopy. Understanding user’s attitudes towards mobile teledermoscopy is essential to optimise use of this new technology and promote early detection of potentially deadly skin cancers, such as melanoma.
