This study confirmed the presence of new genotypes: BPV-1, BPV-2, and BPV-13, which belong to the Bovine papillomavirus, for the first time in the DNA of Iraqi cattle.

It is important to define all the infectious disease in the Iraqi environment that can cause economic losses, so this study helping to prevent and control BPV in Iraq.
