What is it about?
In this hospital-based cross-sectional study, we compared Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS) findings and Atlanta Criteria data (the measure is used for assessing acute pancreatitis severity) in 114 consecutive patients were diagnosed acute pancreatitis. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of EUS method for assessing acute pancreatitis severity were almost 66.0%, 76.0% and 72.0%. Then, EUS may be a moderately valid method for investigating acute pancreatitis severity.
