Why is it important?
A few studies have been conducted in Turkey investigating the effects of heat waves on human health. However, no work has been done yet, especially in the southwest of the country. Studies investigating the long-term changes of heat waves in Turkey show that the increase in heat waves in the west of the country is higher than in other regions. For this reason, it was decided to conduct this study in Fethiye, located in the southwest of Turkey.
