What is it about?

The relationship between maternal mental illness and child nutritional status is conflicting some studies reported maternal common mental disorder as one of the factor that affect child nutritional status specifically stunting. Inline with this, this study identified common mental disorder as predictor of child stunting.

Why is it important?

Knowing the relationship between maternal common mental disorder and child stunting can be used for policy formulation and setting appropriate intervention in addressing the problem.

Perspectives

In my point of view, this study will contribute much in formulating intervention strategies in addressing the problem related to maternal mental illness which can give an emphasis in considering maternal mental health as one of maternal health component.
