Why is it important?
The influence of the subcutaneous contraceptive Nexplanon on the sexual profile is currently not well reported in literature and, to the best of our knowledge, ours is one of the most complete studies to analyze libido in users of this long-acting contraceptive through both a VAS and FSFI score.
Perspectives
Nexplanon is one of the best choices in the contraceptive field. It is suggested for the metabolic safety and the minimal rate of menstrual flow. Nexplanon is correlated with increased indices of sexual function, and expands the range of possibilities for women, and couples, in the modern concepts of sexual and reproductive wellbeing.
