What is it about?

Taiep rats is a myelin mutant with some characteristics similar to multiple sclerosis or adrenoleukodystrophy. They have some reproductive problems particularly trouble with pregnancies, lower number of pups at birth and weaning. The aim of this study is to analyze the ovary function and the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovary axis and its regulation

Why is it important?

This project is quite important because the reproductive problems in patient with different mental troubles including myelin are not weel studied.

Perspectives

We are involved in a research group in Neuroendocrinology and we want to stablish a group with an holistic and multidisciplinary traslational medicine group of scientist
