Why is it important?

It is important to understand the risks of food contamination so that we can improve the quality of food for people. We can do this by monitoring for potentially dangerous levels and by actively trying to reduce levels of chemicals.

Perspectives

This article is a useful overview of potential hazards in foods, and hopefully will make people think about how they grow, prepare and eat food.
