Why is it important?
Reviewing within HCI-related fields has become somewhat less friendly towards interpretivist research in recent years, likely due to a few common misunderstandings about the goals and epistemological traditions tied to such work. Reviewers who are not trained to conduct interpretivist projects are often asked to evaluate interpretivist projects, and this article will help them understand how to respect the boundaries of what is appropriate to ask of an interpretivist project.
