Why is it important?
We offered thematically personalized programming exercises created with GPT-4 to a group of students. Our findings show that they were overwhelmingly satisfied with the exercises and preferred choosing certain themes over random ones. Thus, GenAI can produce contextualized programming exercises of high quality, which can be used for teaching programming.
