Crowdsourcing driver’s mental workload through realistic video fragments

What is it about?

Our research explores a new way to understand how mentally demanding driving can be for drivers. Traditionally, measuring a driver’s mental workload requires specialized equipment and expert analysis. However, our study investigates whether we can use crowdsourcing - gathering insights from a large group of people through the internet - to assess how mentally taxing different driving scenarios are. We’re exploring if this method can be as reliable as traditional methods. This could open up new, easier ways for researchers to study driver stress and improve overall driving safety.
