What is it about?
In the complex and uncertain world of shrimp farming in India, technology-driven solutions can play a vital role. However, are the farmers willing to adopt technology-driven solutions or do they prefer traditional approaches? What actions can we take to make advanced technologies more accessible for Global-South farmers?

Why is it important?
Though there are many studies regarding adoption of technology-driven solutions on the western populations, global south populations are neglected. India being the second largest country to produce shrimp and having so much uncertainty in shrimp farming, technology-driven solutions can come handy. But are shrimp farmers ready to accept these technologies in their profession? What are the existing norms and beliefs? What are the community perceptions in adopting technologies at large scale? Do they have necessary infrastructure to adopt advanced solutions in their practice? These queries are critical to answer to better understand the promises and challenges of adopting technology driven solutions by the Global-South population.
