What is it about?
The Prompt and Practice cards is a tool designed based on the AREA-plus framework to systematically interrogate the research design and conduct to discover potential risks and negative impacts and take action to advance research in a responsible way. It's generally accepted that responsible research and innovation (RRI) should not be a ''one-off'', ''box-ticking'' activity. In this paper, we describe our experience in integrating RRI a research project investigating into trust in human-robot interaction so that it becomes a frequent fixture. We proposed an iterative RRI process, inspired by the agile principles in software development.

Why is it important?
Responsible advancement of research in AI has become a hot topic in the mainstream media, especially with the rapid discoveries of ground breaking technologies in the field (e.g. generative AI). We want to give some visibility to some of the tools - like Prompt and Practice Cards - available for researchers to conduct research responsibly to ensure that the negative impacts are continuously kept on check. We share our experience in using such a tool, highlighting what worked for us and what didn't. We hope that more researchers will eagerly adopt these tools in their line of work not only to ensure responsible research conduct but also to contribute to further development of such tools
