Immersive digital environments for trauma

What is it about?

This research explored the use of immersive CAVE-style systems for trauma in mental healthcare. The researcher designed, implemented and evaluated a proposed digital intervention called: The Timeline.

Why is it important?

This type of technology is not recent, but the re-purposing in the context of mental healthcare and designing The Timeline, is important because there is limited research in this area. Further, the research is timely as digitial technologies are becoming leveraged in healthcare but without enough trialling and evaluating. The current study built stead, multidisciplinary partnerships and engaged with participants who had lived experience of trauma.
