What is it about?
Proactive conversational user interfaces (CUIs), such as chatbots and voice assistants, could be an effective way to engage people with a wide range of activities. But, it is currently unclear how to design these interactions effectively. This paper explores how dialogues strategies used in human conversation could inform the design of proactive CUI interactions.
