What is it about?
We propose a voice map and two voice manipulation techniques to create virtual speech with a specific timbre. The speech is to be used for treating auditory hallucination in cognitive behavioral therapy. Our technique allows users to manifest principal features of a voice, such as resonance and strength, and create new fictitious voices by mixing existing voices. Based on our comprehensive review of existing voice changers and experimental results, we found that our tool is the most powerful tool available for shaping a voice's characteristic.

Why is it important?
Generating a matching voice for treating auditory hallucination is important because patients are found to be more active in the therapy when the voice sounds more similar to their hallucination.
