What is it about?

This abstract briefly describes the Interactive Experiences track that took place at CHItaly'21. The track contained 11 prototypes and installations that represented, challenged, and questioned the frontier of HCI. During the conference, these works were displayed in a hybrid form. This means that all the works were shown both physically in Bolzano and online on a fully customised virtual space on GatherTown. This work was sponsored by the ACM SIGCHI Development Fund

Why is it important?

The abstract exemplifies a track that brought researchers, designers, and artists together in a hybrid form to create an exhibition that was open to the public

Perspectives

I believe that the interactive experiences can serve as an example of how to organise and curate events to engage with the public in Human-Computer Interaction conferences
