What is it about?
TNNT (The NLP/NER Toolkit) is a toolkit that combines under a uniform umbrella 21 different models for "Named-Entity Recognition" (NER), that is, a mechanism to recognise named-entities (persons, locations, organisations, products, events, etc.) from textual sources.

Why is it important?
This toolkit groups under the same processing mechanism several NER models. TNNT is integrated with another tool, namely the "Metadata Extractor & Loader" (MEL) in order to smoothly extract text from unstructured files and automate the recognition task of named entities.
