What is it about?
Researchers use algorithm audits to explore how social problems (such as discrimination) can manifest in algorithmic systems (such as Google's search results, YouTube's "up next" recommendations, or Facebook's News Feed). This paper reviews 62 algorithm audits, providing summaries of their findings as well as a loose organizational framework based on different problems observed.
