What is it about?
This study addressed the importance of privacy controls focusing on users’ preferences for COVID-19 apps. In particular, the study factored in trust, willingness, and preferences as the important aspects to be considered in the context of app development for inclusive privacy and security features. Our contribution is formulating actionable usable privacy controls design ideas from a user study. Our techniques for this study include user study through surveys. The result obtained by conducting distributive and descriptive statistical analysis as well as Machine learning algorithms.

Why is it important?
For designing privacy controls, users' perception and expectation can play a great role while those designs are for end-users to have more control of their data in a transparent way.
Perspectives
Within this short period of time, there has been developed a great number of covid-19 apps. A different group of people is skeptical about adopting those apps for contact tracing. This study can present the perspective of a certain group for redesigning the apps and can lead to further research for the broader community.
