What is it about?
As flexible work arrangements are accepted, work structures, performance expectations, and employee-employer relationships change, presenting both benefits and risks for workers. Personal digital infrastructures (PDIs) allow workers to realize the benefits of flexible work while avoiding the risks of precarious work. To avoid the significant negative impacts of increased flexibility, PDI management and design must become more responsive to the needs of flexible workers.
