What is it about?
Choosing the right courses at the right time is important for students. Sometimes, this task can be aided with tools that predict how a student would do given a particular set of courses. These predictions are based on the students' academic history and their courses' reputation. We investigate what happens when students use these tools. Do the tools influence their decisions? Do students behave differently when they do not use the tools? What do students prefer regarding seeing performance predictions?

Why is it important?
Understanding the impact that performance prediction tools have on students is important. These tools may bias the students' perceptions toward their courses. We need to understand these influences to design better tools.
