What is it about?
In the research, we created an artwork, 'AI History 1890-2090'. The concept of this artwork is that AI tells its history through AI-generated images. In this artwork, the audience experiences learning the history of AI in a VR museum with VR-HMD. The history presented in the museum begins in 1890 and ends in 2090.AI did not exist in 1890s. And things that happened in 2090s cannot be considered history. The audience can easily understand that this is not an actual history. However, when AI becomes more intelligent than humans in the future, humans cannot determine whether the information provided by AI is true or false. Could people living in such a future discern whether the history shown in the artwork is false or true? Perhaps in the future, people will be led to believe by AI that the information is true. This artwork implies a future in which humans is forced to learn by AI. As AI is now being forced to learn by humans. The history of the artwork begins in the 1890s and ends in the 2090s. This is because roll film was invented, and many photographs began to be taken during this age. In other words, the 1890s was the age when the eye of AI was invented. And AI could not generate worthwhile images of the 2090's. The images for the 2090s looked like sandstorms. For now, the future of the 2090s may be the limit of imagination for AI or human training AI.

Why is it important?
It is difficult to grasp concretely the intelligence of AI. In this artwork, we aimed to let the audience grasp and imagine a sense of the intellectual activities of current AI.
