What is it about?

This paper develops a model for the creation of sustainable municipal management practice in developing countries. It is done by a confluence of smart technologies, whose implementation is in the most non-intrusive way, enabling people to adopt it willingly. The Smart Municipal System will include everything right from bin collection, street lights to other complex performances of a local municipality. The model is directly relevant with SDG 6, 7, 9 and 11.

Why is it important?

This model brings together the social and the technological opportunities and challenges considering the impact of COVID. The model will enable the municipal and the local authorities to make decisions on better governance and communication with the citizens through an ecosystem of technologies.

Perspectives

We believe that this model could be easily adopted for the creation of smart cities in developing countries.
