What is it about?

We describe a course that teaches business students how to use Machine Learning for business decision making. We use some of Geron's Hands-on Machine Learning textbook and focus on simple techniques relevant to businesses. We discuss the course outcomes with our students to find that the course has been useful to students with and without programming background.

Why is it important?

The general-purpose nature of Machine Learning and the availability of real-world datasets make it an opportunity for Business Schools to introduce general complex digital technology into their curriculum.

Perspectives

We have taught this course five times, on-campus and online, and feel that it should be adopted widely by business schools.
