What is it about?

TheChain is a project that aims to draw the line between the incoherence of pioneers and the true promises of technology. It tries to solve the problem from a different angle, inspired by the proverb "Solidarity is not an act of charity, but mutual aid between forces fighting for the same goal". The solution attempts to clarify the limits of the technology on laying networks before proposing a solution based on the intersection of regions, in which it allows validators to nest a customer directory but forces them to intersect.

Why is it important?

The work is of extreme importance because we believe that this is a reasonable solution to maintain the ledger in a distributed environment without a high investment of resources or a trusted party.

Perspectives

The paper is a first contribution into a big project which aims to eliminate the trust part. The intersection of regions leads to territories, which will allow banks to operate but with high confidentiality offered to the customer. The project is more reasonable than a platform based on proof of work or proof of stake.
