What is it about?
How do you engage a global network of young volunteers in strategic foresight workshops? By designing the world's first Global WhatsApp game! In collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, this work shows we designed and ran a large scale pilot engagement just using WhatsApp.

Why is it important?
This work details a way of using WhatsApp that has never been done before, and points to a shift from designing bespoke apps to communicate with hard to reach populations, to utilising the communication tools that people are already using.
Perspectives
My co-authors and I are immensely proud of this work, which was nominated for an international Digital Communications Award in 2017.
