What is it about?
During my stay in Beijing, I was asked as a postdoc, to spend the whole 2 years on the ZnO nanowire project. I spent most of the time doing other stuff. Finally, 2 months before my postdoc ended, I managed to get something done. Rapidly wrote something and there I am. Job done in time. This work is The theoretical investigation of bandgap energy and dielectric parameters across the ZnO nanowire using DFT code quantum espresso. The beauty of this work is the accurate measurement using computational tools, with the experimental value done 2 years before I start my postdoc in PKU.

Why is it important?
Able to obtain the gap value in match to the experimental, using the hybrid-like methodology.
