Why is it important?
Inidicators of muscle growth and metabolism can give us a clue about how a fish is growing (or not growing). Compared to other farmed fish in European sea water, meagre is growing fast and reach much larger size in less time. We wonder how does this species can do that and what can we see at cellular level of the its muscle tissue?
