What is it about?

Sorbitol, a sugar alcohol, is widely used in a number oral and food products as a sugar replacer. The results of our current study showed that sorbitol has anti-diabetic potential since it inhibits intestinal glucose absorption and increases muscle glucose uptake in normal and type 2 diabetic conditions.
