What is it about?

This study found a high prevalence of vaccine hesitancy among Bangladeshi adults. This is an important and timely study that seperated a range of sub group population with higher vaccine heistancy. This research findings help policy makers and public health specialist to fight against COVID-19.

Why is it important?

To achieve herd immunity for COVID-19 a country must cover 80% of its population. However, we found well above 30% of genral population are hesitant to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bangladesh.

Perspectives

This study found a range of sub-group general populations with higher vaccine hesitancy that must be discussed when addressing vaccination programs against COVID-19.
