What is it about?

People living in refugee camps have distinct medical care requirements, and clinical guidance manuals need to be tailored to their circumstances. The World Health Organization provide guidelines that include consideration of special groups, and use a transparent process for taking these specific considerations into account. Here we analyse WHO guidelines to evaluate if they consider refugees living in camps, and whether they are clear how they have adapted the guidance. Overall, there was little consideration given to the needs in camps, and the organization needs to more formally consider the health care requirements of these groups.
