What is it about?
It is well known that meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) can cause evaporative dry eye and changes in the tear proteins due to inflammation. Here we show that the clinical severity grading of the MGD and some irritative symptoms are related to the level of the tear proteins such as S100A8 and S100A9.
