Why is it important?

provides an inexpensive means of evaluating upper cervical range of motion in the field without expensive equipment. This can be used for patients with headache, dizziness, neck pain and concussion in order to rule out or rule in the upper cervical spine as a potential cause.

Perspectives

prior to this study there was no inexpensive way to reliably measure upper cervical range of motion in humans.
