What is it about?
This work discusses about the integrated identification and characterization of minerals on Earth and the Moon. The Apollo samples repository and few rock samples from the field visits are used. The optical range, infrared, and Raman spectra for both surfaces are discussed. This work gives an idea about comparative analysis of habitable and non-habitable planets in the solar system.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that Lunar materials like breccia and KREEP can have the properties similar to rocks found in Rajasthan, India. However, this study also provides a nice platform for more integrated spectroscopic and chemical studies.
