What is it about?
This review covers the various theoretical and experimental aspects of atom-surface physics, including the effects of surface thermal excitations and nanostructured surfaces. Among the recent developments in this field, the emphasis is put on the novel platforms such as metamaterials or topological materials, allowing for tunability of Casimir-Polder interactions, up to far-field repulsion.
