What is it about?

Phosphorylation regulates protein function. Phosphorylation of antenna proteins has been described for LHCII and shown to be catalyzed by the STN7 kinase inlow light conditions. Phosphorylation of CP29 occurs in excess light conditions and is proposed to increase cold stress resistance. Here we show that the STN8/PBCP kinase/phosphatase system controls CP29 pgosphorylation.
