What is it about?
Chloroplast relocation movement refer to the different positioning of chloroplasts in plant cells under various environment conditions. The chloroplast positionings are crucial in optimising the phototsynthesis for plant development, also avoiding photodamage for plant survival. Although this research field has been studied for over a century, there is still many unknown parts waiting to be eluicidated.

Why is it important?
We introduce a liverwort Apopellia endiviifolia that have recently discovered its clear view of chloroplast positioning and simple phototropin signalling pathway. We believes the beneficial charateristics of A. endiviifolia could made it an useful model plant in future study related to the chloroplast movements.
