What is it about?
Plant invasions can be conditioned by fungal symbionts. We found that the invasion success of broadly invasive pine trees is related to the invasiveness of their symbotic ectomycorrhizal fungi. We show that belowground biota invasiveness could help predict and understand the invasion success of their plant hosts, questioning the way we currently predict the invasion of plants.

Why is it important?
Considering the invasion capacity of belowground microbial symbionts can change the way we predict the invisibility of plants
