What is it about?
Genetic information from ancient organisms that can be thousands of years old has led to a revolution in different fields of science. However, most of this research focuses on human or animal remains. In this article, we outline how ancient plant remains that are preserved at the bottom of lakes or in ice can be used to study genetic changes over time.
