What is it about?
Plants can detect light as an environmental signal using specific photoreceptors. We investigated how protein phosphorylation regulates the activity of such a photoreceptor in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Our study reveals that plants can use this molecular mechanism to modulate their light sensitivity in response to environmental stimuli.
