What is it about?
Polyploidization is important in plant evolution, but to what extent it promotes diversification is unclear. We demonstrate the role of intraspecific polyploid frequency combined with ecological drivers on Allium diversification. This represents the first in-depth test of the effect of polyploid frequency on diversification rates and provides new insights into the role of polyploidy in plant evolution.
