What is it about?

Targeted cellular distribution of the plant hormone auxin is required for morphogenesis and adaptive responses of plants and involves cellular auxin uptake proteins of the AUX1 class. In the dicotyledon model plant Arabidopsis, AUX1 proteins display a division of labo. In contrast, in the monocotyledon model plant Brachypodium, a single AUX1 is essential for the plant to complete its life cycle.
