Genomic data reveal cryptic lineage diversification and introgression in Californian golden cup oaks (section Protobalanus )

What is it about?

Using genomic data, we found that two Californian golden cup oaks comprise three cryptic lineages with a complex history of diversification and hybridization. Our results have important implications to understand from a novel perspective the formation of new taxa in presence of inter-specific gene flow.
