What is it about?
There is an ongoing debate about correct protocols to carry out greenhouse experiments focused on understanding how soil biota effect plant growth. The manuscript is a response to an early manuscript that developed a model to supposedly show many experiments have been carried out incorrectly. Here we show that adaptation of their model to better describe reality leads to ta different conclusion, that mixing soils to creating soil biota treatments can sometimes be used effectively to address specific types of questions.
