What is it about?
In this study, we investigated if small and common differences in a gene that forms a protein important for the formation of the kidneys and urinary tract have a relation with a frequent malformation of the kidneys and urinary tract. We found that small variances of these gene are more frequent in children with a obstruction between the kidney and the channel that drains the urine called ureteropelvic junction obstruction.
