What is it about?
Many pathogenic bacteria use toxins targeted towards themselves to go under cover when confronted with challenging conditions and when exposed to antibiotics. In this paper, we show for the first time that these toxins can function by deliberately destroying the cell's own "vitamins", metabolites required for energy production.
